I am hosting an experiential workshop for psychotherapists and counsellors exploring racialised experience and embodied healing, where experience is heard and met in the body. This workshop focuses on racialised experience embodied healing within therapeutic and relational contexts.
The day begins with grounding and an emphasis on safety and choice. Participants explore anger, grief, and other emotional responses linked to racialised experience. The work uses storytelling, listening, and creative expression to support embodied healing.
The workshop does not define racial trauma in fixed ways. Instead, it invites participants to listen to their embodied and emotional knowledge. Meaning emerges through relational encounter, mindful movement, breathwork, and shared reflection.
The day closes with time for individual reflection and small-group meaning-making. Participants leave with a clearer sense of how embodied awareness can support healing and integration in personal and professional contexts.
